During this workshop you’ll be knitting a top-down yoke swatch in the round. You’ll practice two-color stranded knitting and learn how to choose colors for successful yokes. We’ll cover techniques for knitting smooth and crisp colorwork, learn about different yoke construction styles, choosing a size, the role of  short rows and body shaping options, and learn how to follow a top-down yoke chart while you shape your yoke swatches using a fun invisible increase. Jenn will bring a lot of her yoke sweaters for you to check out and we’ll go over any specific questions you might have. (I have taught this class the most of all of my offerings.)

Technique Requirements: Knit/purl; cast on/bind off; increase/decrease; working in the round.

Homework: There is no homework on this class, but students will need to bring size 5 or 6 needles (3.75mm or 4.25mm) 32″ / 80 cm long circular needles for magic loop and 2 * 50g balls of wool yarn in sport or dk weight. 1 dark color and 1 light color.
