Learning about reversible cables while following along with Fiona Alice’s Reversible Cable Headband pattern. Reversible cables are an eye catching feature and no more difficult than regular cables. We will discuss how to make a reversible cable and where they might be used in your knitting. Students will make a smaller version of the headband class while learning about provisional cast ons, how to read cable charts and grafting 2×2 ribbing together for a seamless finish. We will also talk about other bind offs, suitable for this project.

This class is ideal for enthusiastic beginner knitters or those who are looking to try cables for the first time. Students should be familiar with how to knit and purl.

Materials Required: 6 or 6.5 mm straight needles (long double pointed needles can also work), one large cable needle, blunt darning needle and one colour of aran weight yarn – approximately 40g.
