Jonna Hietala is a journalist and photographer, who – among other things – leads the international Laine Magazine, which has thousands of readers and far over hundred retailers all over the world. In addition to Laine, Hietala is also responsible for the Finnish Taito magazine, which is published by The Finnish Crafts Organization. She is known by her authentic, poetic photographs which truly tell more than thousand words.
Jonna Hietala established the famous yarn store called “Kerä” and now she’s the producer of Taito and Laine-magazines. Jonna is well known for her breathtakingly beautiful photographs. On our festival she is hosting a class where she is going to reveal some of her secrets about shooting knitwear. Jonna will let you know what it takes to make a great picture; how light affects the atmosphere in photos; how one should choose the location of photoshoot and what do you need to take decent pictures. Jonna will also teach about retouching photographs.
If there are english-speaking students, the class will be in English.
